A Top Bar Hive can be started with package bees but what do you do when the season has past? We here at Hivesandmore.com have developed a simple rack that holds 5 Langstroth frames neatly in our Top Bar Hives. The rack replaces about 14 Top Bars until the colony builds out the remaining bars. Once they have filled out the Top Bars you can remove the 5 frames, leaving the bees and their queen behind.
